Sebastian's Nest will be exhibited as part of The Twenty Twenty Collection at
The New Art Gallery Walsall from 14th January 2022
The New Art Gallery Walsall is proud to present The Twenty Twenty Collection exhibition.
The works, spanning a variety of media from collage and photography to drawing and painting, respond to world events over a tumultuous year; from the Covid19 pandemic and National Lockdowns, to Black Lives Matter and Brexit, to Class Inequalities and Climate Change.
This presentation will show how artists play a vital role in helping us shape, understand and respond to current and future events.
A new interactive wall-drawing by collection artist Yasmin Agilah-Hood in our Foyer will welcome visitors back to the Gallery next year to accompany the exhibition, along with interactive activities which will allow visitors the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences of this significant time period.

Michele's 'Sebastian's Nest' drawing acquired by The New Art Gallery Walsall.
I'm so delighted to announce that my drawing 'Sebastian's Nest' has been acquired by The New Art Gallery Walsall as part of the Twenty Twenty collection. BIG congratulations to all the artists chosen too! More info below
Following an open call, which received 220 submissions, The New Art Gallery Walsall has acquired 33 works by 31 West Midlands-based artists, to create the new Twenty Twenty Collection. This closed, capsule collection represents the significant events of the past 12 months, and commemorates this important historical moment which has impacted on everyone’s lives.
The works, spanning a variety of media from collage and photography to drawings and paintings, respond to world events over the last tumultuous year; from the pandemic and lockdown, to the Black Lives Matter movement and Brexit.
